The 2022 NFL draft is upon us, and the Chicago Bears are about to take center stage as Day 2 gets underway.
Chicago has just six draft picks, including none in the first round for the third time in the last four years. But the Bears do have two second-round draft selections, as well as a high pick in the third round. There are chances to find some impact players, including some surprising names that have fallen to Round 2.
Here’s where the Bears will be picking on Day 2:
- Round 2, Pick 39
- Round 2, Pick 48
- Round 3, Pick 71
Chicago also has three picks on Day 3, including two in the fifth round (148th and 150th overall) and one in the sixth (186th overall).
New Bears general manager Ryan Poles has plenty of work ahead of him, as there are an abundance of needs ranging from wide receiver to offensive line to cornerback.
It doesn’t sound like Poles is entertaining the idea of trading up. But he certainly sounds like someone who’s considering trading back, and there should be plenty of opportunities to do that on Friday.
The 2022 NFL draft continues tonight at 6 p.m. CT and Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
