DDCA President Rohan Jaitley's name is doing rounds for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary job but it's reliably learnt that he is not in the race to replace Jay Shah, who will be taking charge as International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman from December.
"Yes, his name is doing rounds but there has been no discussion on him yet. He is not in the race to replace Jay Shah as the next Secretary and the Indian cricket board is yet to take any call as far as the Secretary is concerned. It will be taken in due course of time," says a BCCI official privy to developments.
Jaitley has been in charge of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) and is expected to run for another term. The poll preparations are already underway in Delhi and nominations for different positions will be finalised in the next couple of weeks.
