A brand new nail-biting game show has landed on BBC One. The new series, which is presented by a rather ruthless Claudia Winkleman and called The Traitors, sees 22 contestants move into a castle in the Scottish Highlands and take on missions to try and win the £120,000 prize pot.
However, there's a huge twist as three of the 22 contestants have been handpicked by Claudia to become what's known as the traitors. They have to remain undetected from the rest of the group, who are called the faithfuls, and have to "murder" one of their fellow players every night, thus eliminating them from the game.
On the flip side, the contestants come together after every "murder" to debate who the traitors are and get the opportunity to banish one person from the competition, with each person getting one vote to banish someone of their choice.

During the first episode, which saw Claudia savagely tell two contestants to leave the competition before it had even started, the players were interviewed by the presenter to see who would be the best fit for the role of traitor.
The psychological competition then saw the players sat around the table with blindfolds on as Claudia tapped three contestants on the shoulder. She then explained that while three traitors had originally been chosen, should they be eliminated there would be a chance for the traitors to recruit one of the faithfuls in their place.
She explained: "I have selected my traitors, the rest of you will be known as the faithfuls. The course of the game has now been set. You may now remove your blindfolds. Traitors, you will discover each other's identities later tonight, your job, to murder the faithful.
"Faithfuls, your job is to work out who the traitors are and then banish them from the game. If a traitor is banished, those remaining might get the chance to convert a faithful and recruit them into their clan. Shortly, you'll all go on your first mission to start building the prize fund. Tonight, one of you will be murdered by the traitors."

The Traitors
Among the three traitors picked by Claudia was Amanda, 54, from Swansea. The estate agent, who you can find out more about here, told the presenter: "I think I'd make a good traitor. I'll be the mum role and then murder them at night."
After being tapped on the shoulder, Amanda told the cameras: "When she tapped me on the shoulder, oh god, I'm so excited. It's in arm's reach, I've got to hold my hands out and grab it." She added: "It was quite intense, my adrenaline started going, I'm so excited. I thought I'm in the game to play and play it well. I just want to get out there and start doing things now and getting these murders done."
Amanda was then joined by business student Alyssa, 21, and 28-year-old senior fundraiser Wilfred. Explaining how it works, Claudia then told viewers at home: "To keep the identities a secret, all the players are taken to individual lodgings where they are not allowed to see or talk to anyone, but for the traitors, the night has only just begun."
