Matt Lucas' weight loss left BBC The One Show viewers amazed when he appeared on the show on Thursday night. Matt appeared with his mother as he discussed his appearance on the BBC series Who Do You Think You Are, which revealed his family's unexpected connection to Anne Frank.
The Little Britain and Great British Bake Off star previously revealed how he had to "do something about his weight" after piling on the pounds during lockdown. He told ITV's Lorraine that he "had to do something about it". At the time he said: "I lost some weight, I needed to take the edge off, because I put on a lot of weight in lockdown." He added: "I've still got a bit of a tum and a bit going on here [point to his chin]. I'm not a skinny minnie."

But viewers were stunned to see how much the star had changed, Birmingham Live reports. @markt2606 said on Twitter: "#mattlucas looks like he’s lost some weight.
