BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Tom Fletcher spent years 'grovelling' to win over Giovanna

A Strictly Come Dancing star admits he spent years trying to get back his now wife after their split. McFly band member, Tom Fletcher, says after he split from Giovanna he spent "years grovelling to get her back."

Tom told OK! :"I asked her out on the day we met. She said yes but I dumped her two days later.

"Then I spent years grovelling, trying to get her to go back out with me – which thankfully worked! We’ve been together for 19 years this year" reports Birmingham Live.

The couple now share three children together, Buzz, Buddy and Max who are eight, six and four years old. Tom said: "It can be difficult to escape.

"I remember when we first got married, we said we’d do something really big for our 10th anniversary and go away somewhere. Then when it got here, we were like 'shall we just go for dinner?.'

Earlier this year the pair enjoyed a weekend away and left the kids with their grandparents. Tom and Giovanna shared loved up photos as they started at The Gallivant.

A source commented at the time: "[Tom and Giovanna stayed at] The Gallivant with the couple opting to stay in the Luxury Garden room which boasts a super king bed, private decking and a roll top bath in the bedroom. The gorgeous room has prices starting from £619 per night for a weekday in March with the hotel also having a number of classes including yoga, wine tasting and pastry skills.”
