BBC Strictly Come Dancing: Kaye Adams announced as fourth contestant for 2022 line-up

Strictly bosses have confirmed Scots presenter Kaye Adams as the fourth celeb to join the line-up this autumn. The BBC Radio Two presenter will be dancing alongside the likes of former Corrie stars Kym Marsh and Will Mellor.

Strictly Come Dancing will samba back onto our screens for its 20th season in just over a month’s time. The BBC One show is expected to record its first episode on Wednesday September 7, which will air the following Saturday September 10.

Four new professional dancers are joining the team alongside some of the old favourites, and the celebrity line-up is slowly being revealed. So far there are two former Coronation Street stars confirmed as contestants.

The multi-award-winning entertainment show will once again bringing glitter, glamour and glorious dancing to homes across the nation when it kicks off, with Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly expected to front the programme as usual.

TV presenter and radio star Kaye is yet to find out who she will pair up with, with the contestants set to discover their pro partner next month.

Kaye said: “I said I wanted to make the last year of my fifties memorable and i can’t think of a better way of doing it than showing the world my two left feet. Pray for me!”

Kaye, who lives in Glasgow, is a broadcaster best known as an anchor on the ITV topical discussion show, as well as for hosting the morning show on BBC Radio Scotland. Having started her career as a news journalist she has presented programming for various TV channels including STV, the BBC and Channel 5. She also started her popular podcast, How To Be 60 with Kaye Adams, in 2022.

Kaye joins Will Mellor, Kym Marsh and Richie Anderson in the line-up so far.
