BBC Strictly chaos as Motsi Mabuse's 'chair explodes' as she's swept away by Fleur East's sizzling routine

Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse joked that she 'needed to control herself' in comical scenes as her chair appeared to break in two during Saturday night's live show. The BBC dance show judge roared with laughter after her chair ended up in two parts as she enthused over Fleur East's sizzling Argentine tango routine.

After Hits Radio presenter and singer Fleur got viewers hot under the collar with her performance with professional dance partner Vito Coppola, it was time for the judges' feedback. Praise was heaped on radio breakfast show host Fleur after the 34-year-old landed in the dreaded dance off last weekend.

The usually sharp-tongued Craig Revel Horwood prompted cheers as he remarked: "That dance is the one to beat." Then Motsi caused chaos after becoming so excited her seat fell apart.

After picking up the seat, he then leaned down again and retrieved a cushion. "She's knocked the chair over I love that!" exclaimed host Tess Daly. She added: "She's broken her chair. She has a cushion now. Thank you, Craig!"

Turning back to Fleur and Vito she said: "She's overwhelmed." And Motsi told her jokingly: "I have to control myself."

Head judge Shirley Ballas, who caused uproar during last Sunday's results show when she said she would have sent Fleur home over eliminated contestant Richie Anderson, was also full of praise for Fleur, who shot to fame on the X Factor in 2014. "It was sizzling, like a red hot chilli pepper," she told her.
