How to buy tickets to BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend

Most tickets to the festival have already been sold, but the last remaining tickets will go on sale at 5pm today, Monday, April 25.

The BBC says: “The majority of these tickets will be reserved for those living in Coventry and surrounding areas, with a small number of tickets for those living elsewhere in the UK.”

Coventry City Council residents will have access to 60% of the remaining tickets until 7pm, while people living in Coventry and Birmingham postcodes, as well as selected Leicester postcodes, will have access to 25% of the remaining tickets, also until 7pm.

The final 15% of remaining tickets will be open to the rest of the UK, plus any unsold tickets from the dedicated Coventry pot.

Friday tickets cost £12.50 while tickets for Saturday and Sunday cost £21.50.

The ticket pages can be accessed only via the Radio 1 website–the relevant Big Weekend pages will direct you to Ticketmaster to make the purchase.

It may help to speed up the buying process if you create a Ticketmaster account in advance. However, you cannot buy the tickets by searching directly on Ticketmaster’s website.

If successful, you’ll be able to buy a maximum of two tickets for either Saturday or Sunday, but not both.
