BBC Happy Valley fans say it's 'mad' as they spot issue with Tommy Lee Royce's closing scenes

Happy Valley fans were left on the edge of their seats as the latest episode aired. The fourth of six installments of the gritty drama aired on BBC One on Sunday night (January 22) and it left viewers thinking that Sergeant Catherine Cawood and psychopath Tommy Lee Royce will meet one last time before the end of the third and final season.

The series kicked off with Catherine discovering the remains of a gangland murder victim in a drained reservoir which has then sparked an unfortunate series of events that has lead her back to Tommy, the father of her grandson Ryan and her late daughter's rapist.

While he was quickly put in the frame for the historical crime, things took a turn for Catherine after a tip-off from her colleague in the police force saw her discover Ryan had been visiting his dad - and that it was her sister, Clare, who was facilitating Ryan's visits to the Category-A prison in Leeds with her partner, Neil Ackroyd.
