BBC Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams: What's it about and when can I watch it?

Cricket star turned TV presenter Freddie Flintoff is determined to prove that anyone can play cricket. In his new BBC show, Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams, he's hoping to make a competitive team out of a group of lively teenagers.

Freddie, who had a very successful career playing club and international cricket, turned to TV presenting after his sporting career. He currently presents the BBC show Top Gear, presented the ITV show The Games, and has spoken openly about his battle with bulimia.

Now Freddie is hosting a new show where he will try and turn teenagers from his hometown of Preston into cricket stars. Here is everything you need to know:

What is Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams about?

The cricket star will be taking on his toughest challenge yet creating a cricket team from scratch with reluctant teenagers from his hometown of Preston. In the show Freddie will train his new team, find them a club and secure funding.

As one of the few professional international cricketers who was not privately educated and came from a working-class background, Freddie is determined to prove that cricket is for everyone.

When is Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams on?

Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams will begin on Tuesday, July, 5 at 8pm on BBC One. There are three one-hour episodes in the series with the second episode airing on Tuesday, July, 12 at 8pm on BBC One.

Recently Freddie has been enjoying the stunning views of Wales while climbing Mount Snowdon with Jason Manford for a new programme and visiting the Brecon Beacons while on Top Gear.
