Buyers on Escape to the Country shared their immediate regret on today's search.
Nicki Chapman returned to front Monday's edition of the popular BBC programme. The former Pop Idol judge was helping Ossie and Jan relocate to the countryside.
The couple wanted to move to the coast of South Devon and were armed with a £1m budget. They were looking for a detached home with up to five bedrooms and a half an acre of land.

Jan was immediately concerned when they were shown around a Grade II listed cottage in Devon valued at £950,000. She said: "It's a tough one.
"It's exactly what we asked for and you've shown it to us but it's suddenly feeling a bit scary. Have we got it wrong? Have we asked for something that we don't want."
The buyers had a similar reaction to the second home and this forced them to change their criteria. Jan said: "Maybe we don't really need that kind of country, cottage, farmhouse traditional style. We're looking for a modern traditional style, if that exists. A little bit more contemporary. Still in the right setting, maybe even a bit nearer the sea."
The buyers did not find their dream home by the end of the episode and vowed to continue their search for a more contemporary home near the sea.
