Northern Irish broadcaster Gerry Kelly has died at 77 after a years-long battle with cancer that included surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy.
Kelly, a familiar face and voice on UTV and BBC Radio Ulster, died Sunday. Journalist Anne Hailes said he died at home surrounded by his wife, Helena, and daughters Sarah and Claire. Kelly had previously disclosed in 2018 that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2016.
