BBC Breakfast has announced a major change to the show from Monday, June 26. The broadcaster's flagship morning programme is getting a makeover for the first time in over a decade.
It means that those tuning in on Monday, June 26 might notice a difference on-screen, as the team will be presenting from an all-new multipurpose studio. The state-of-the-art space will be situated in Salford’s Media City, with presenters Sally Nugent and Jon Kay becoming the first to start the day from the studio.
One thing that won't be changing, however, is the iconic red sofa which will remain at the heart of the show. Instead, the new space will feature broadcasting technology that will allow the BBC Breakfast team to tell stories in a creative, bold and imaginative way.
