The Sydney Kings have tied their championship series hero Kendric Davis to a two-year deal that keeps him in the NBL until at least the 2027/28 season.
Davis was the difference for the Kings in a nail-biting 2025/26 championship series against his former side Adelaide that was decided in overtime of game five.
His gripping tit-for-tat with rival point guard Bryce Cotton defined the series, which ended in the Kings' sixth championship and Davis receiving the Larry Sengstock Medal for series MVP.
Davis finished second to Cotton in voting for the NBL season's MVP award, averaging 25.1 points and 7.1 assists per game.
The 27-year-old Texas native had previously said he hoped to return to the Kings unless an NBA move could come to fruition.
