Barry Ferguson believes two more Rangers players could be moved on this summer - and another will follow if they don't get their way.
The Ibrox legend wrote in his recent Record Sport column that it was time to 'send them on their way' with regards Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos, with both players' contracts expiring in the summer. He also isn't convinced boss Michael Beale should push through a deal for Malik Tillman either as his loan from Bayern Munich approaches the point of where a permanent transfer decision needs to be made.
But now more players in boss Michael Beale's dressing room have been added to the list in the wake of Sunday's 1-0 loss to Celtic in Scottish Cup semi-final action. Ferguson told Go Radio that midfielders John Lundstram and Glen Kamara could be in the frame to be sold to boost the coffers ahead of revamp time, while he doesn't think striker Antonio Colak will fancy being second fiddle. He said: "I thought they got lucky with Connor Goldson, he agreed to stay and was a good bit of business.
"But you look what has happened this season with Kent and Morelos, if you are looking at making money off players, they were the type you should never let their contracts run down. So I look at guys like Lundstram, Kamara.
"They are going into the final years of their contracts. If they are not going to be a big part of Michael Beale's plans going forward, then I think Rangers might look to do business with players like that.
"In terms of Colak, I get the impression that if he isn't going to be the main number nine, I don't think he will want to stay. And I think Michael Beale wants to bring in a number nine.
"So I think Colak, if he is looking at it, he doesn't want to play second fiddle. And he has a couple years left on his contract, and I believe if he doesn't think he will be the number one striker, I think he will want to go and Rangers will cash in."
All of this talk of rebuild is ongoing without a sporting director. Ross Wilson has left his post to join Nottingham Forest but Ferguson believes Beale will want to carry ALL of the load.
He added: "I am unsure whether he will bring in a director of football, I think he likes being in charge. I think he likes to make the final decision, but a sporting director is good to have as they take quite a lot away from the manager.
"In terms of discussing transfer fees, contract salaries. But if you are asking my honest opinion, I think Michael Beale might go it alone and leave it to himself and staff to make these decisions."
