Honest Barry Ferguson admits he'd rather be in Celtic's position as the final stretch of fixtures looms.
But he insists there will be plenty of title twists to come as Rangers look to turn on the heat and defend their Premiership crown.
Celtic stretched their lead to three points on Sunday with Giorgos Giakoumakis' hat-trick fending off Dundee.
It came after Gio van Bronckhorst's team dropped points at Tannadice and they can seldom afford any more slip-ups in the final 11 games of the season.
There's a long way to go yet and Record Sport columnist Ferguson knows better than to write his old team off at this stage.
But he does admit he'd rather be where Celtic are as the Glasgow giants jostle for position at the top.
He said on Go Radio: "I'll be honest, I'd rather be in Celtic's shoes. I'd rather be three points in front.
"Obviously playing first, they can put a bit of pressure on if they go and get the win and go six points clear.
"Am I getting worried at this stage? No, I don't think there will be much panic.
"I do still believe there will be twists and turns and it will go right down to the wire.
"But I'm just being honest, I'd rather be in Celtic's position, three points in front, no doubt about it.
"They showed a different side to them. 2-2, going into the last 10 minutes it was squeaky bum time, then they get the third goal to cement the three points.
"At this stage I wouldn't be getting too worried about it, but I'd rather be three points in front than three points behind."
