Barry Ferguson has called out the change in approach from the Rangers players in the 1-1 draw with Dundee United.
Derek McInnes' time in charge began with a draw at Tannadice on Friday night as Thelo Aasgaard's strike claimed a point for Rangers.
The Ibrox side had been a goal down in the first half after Lachlan Rose poked home for the hosts.
However, Rangers would battle back after the break with Aasgaard smashing into the far corner to restore parity after 56 minutes.
What happened next left Ferguson baffled, with the pundit expecting McInnes to have been very frustrated by how events then unfolded.
In his Daily Record column, the former Rangers captain and manager blasted the drop in intensity levels on the pitch after drawing level, as he questioned the players but excused McInnes.

He wrote: "It’s at that point [after equalising] that I expected Rangers to kick on and score another one or two goals. The fact that they allowed the tempo to drop and ended up settling for a share of the points was the most frustrating thing of all.
"And, not for the first time, it’s led to questions being asked about the mentality of some of these players because they should have been even more frustrated than anyone else.
"They were the ones who had the chance to actually do something about it out there on the pitch.
"But when they should have put the foot down against a Dundee United side that was there for the taking, they dropped the intensity levels. It made no sense."
