Summer has officially arrived - with many parts of the country basking in the sunshine. As Brits prepare for holidays abroad and a series of forthcoming heatwaves at home, many will be thinking about stocking up on suncream.
Helpfully, today’s Steph’s Packed Lunch featured a segment on the best suncreams to buy for sun protection, according to Which? magazine. The show also featured advice from skincare expert Dr Ifeoma Ejikeme on how often to apply suncream and how much you should use.
She said people should apply a SPF30 or above lotion daily - irrespective of the weather - and then reapply it after two hours.

Dr Ejikeme added that, to get the right amount to put on your face and neck, squirt sun cream thickly along the index and middle fingers on one hand. For the rest of the body, a golf ball sized amount should be applied.
The show then revealed five of the best rated sun creams according to Which? They were:
Asda Protect Moisturising Sun Lotion SPF30 - £2.80
According to Asda’s website, this suncream is easily absorbed and contains vitamin E to help protect against skin cell damage. It also ‘leaves skin hydrated, supple and soft’, offers 24-hour moisturising and ‘protects against premature skin ageing’.
