Barcelona president Joan Laporta has spoken about the chances of his side signing Chelsea duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
The Blues have already lost both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively, and they could be at risk of losing both Azpilicueta and Alonso as well, with the Catalan giants heavily linked to both Spanish internationals. Now, Laporta has remained coy when asked about the prospect of the Chelsea stars arriving at the Nou Camp while praising both players.
He spoke to CBS Sport about the Blaugrana potentially signing them: “They are under contract at Chelsea, and we respect this as well as the new owner. I don’t want to talk about players who belong to other teams.

"I respect Cesar and Marcos as footballers. They are very, very good players. They show their quality and talent at Chelsea.
"But I don't want to talk about them as a matter of respect for Chelsea." Barcelona have already pipped Chelsea in two major transfers this summer, bringing in Brazilian winger Raphinha and French centre-back Jules Kounde - who were both heavily linked to Thomas Tuchel's side earlier this summer.
The Blues have signed just two players during this transfer window, bringing in English attacker Raheem Sterling from Manchester City as well as Senegal centre-half Kalidou Koulibaly.
