Lunar New Year celebrations in THE FINALS kick off this week with a dedicated event, featuring festive map makeovers, free Legendary cosmetics, and the return of a classic game mode.
The Lunar New Year event in THE FINALS runs from Feb. 12 until Mar. 5, giving you plenty of time to earn rewards and enjoy Bank It, which was one of the original THE FINALS modes that Embark Studios promised to bring back at some point after removing it in season six.
Bank It is a kill-and-collect mode where four teams of three earn cash by securing vaults and eliminating other players. Collect the coins (or, in this case, red envelopes) and cash them out at the dedicated stations until you reach the required amount to win. Unlike Cashout, you don’t need to hold objectives, but if you die, you drop all your cash, making it a more chaotic yet still competitive experience.
As always with holiday events in THE FINALS, some of the maps receive a makeover to fit the theme. For the Lunar New Year, Las Vegas, Monaco, Seoul, Fortune Stadium, and the new Fangwai City are all getting rebranded to celebrate the Year of the Horse.
Throughout the event, you can earn up to 14 rewards. Every day, complete contracts and choose one of the items. Once you unlock 12 out of 14 rewards, you get the free Legendary set as the bonus 15th reward, giving you a bit more flexibility compared to having to unlock all 14 first.
The celebration begins now, and the arenas are as packed as always. For those of you who want to earn all the rewards, you need to log in and play 14 days before the event ends, so don’t leave it all until the last moment.
