Police treating report of Co Down device as a 'hoax'

PSNI Bangor Police

Police in Co Down have said nothing was found after receiving a 'hoax' report that a device had been left at a location in Bangor on Friday morning.

Following a number of enquiries and searches of Castle Park Avenue and the surrounding areas in the city, nothing has been found.

A cordon was erected in the area for a time, close to the police station and town hall.
