"UrbanNICEzation" is the theme of the 6th edition of Bangkok Design Week which will take place in nine districts across the city beginning on Saturday and running to Feb 12.

Organised by Creative Economy Agency (CEA) in collaboration with 60 public- and private-sector partners with the aim of making Bangkok a nicer city and promoting it as a Unesco City of Design, the festival incorporates a theme defined by six aspects -- environment, mobility, culture, business, community and diversity. There will be more than 530 online and on-site activities across several of Bangkok's 50 districts, covering the areas of Charoen Krung-Talat Noi, Yaowarat, Samyan-Siam, Ari-Pradiphat, Phra Nakhon, Pak Klong Talat, Nang Loeng, Wong Wian Yai-Talat Phlu, Klong San, Bang Pho, Phrom Phong and Kaset.

Activities include showcases and exhibitions of tangible concepts and prototypes developed by creators working in various fields towards offering new ways of living. Guests likewise can expect online talks and workshops by Thai and international creative thinkers who will be sharing with audiences their knowledge and inspiring new ideas.

The event also includes music and art performances, movie screenings as well as parties and open houses in an online format.

The festival further presents creative marketing platforms and promotions in both online and offline modes, offering sales opportunities and market trials for local and international businesses.
