Karim Benzema has been crowned the winner of the 2022 Ballon d'Or - with six past or present Liverpool players in the final 30.
It was no surprise to see Benzema take top spot after a hugely successful recent spell with Real Madrid. He was favourite with the bookies for some time and his victory was 'leaked' in the Spanish media earlier today.
Liverpool had several stars on the shortlist and their finishing positions were confirmed tonight, as the prestigious prize was awarded in a lavish Paris ceremony. The Reds were second in the Club of the Year category, with Manchester City first.

Darwin Nunez came in joint 25th place after a stellar campaign with former club Benfica. Trent Alexander-Arnold was the next Liverpool man, sharing 22nd place with City rivals Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva.
Luis Diaz was 17th - splitting the position with Dusan Vlahovic and Casemiro - after a strong start to life at Anfield last term following an excellent initial few months while still at Porto.
In solo 16th spot was Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho came just ahead of his team-mate, sharing 14th with Rafael Leao.
It was left to Mohamed Salah and ex-Red Sadio Mane to break into the top 10. The Egyptian King took fifth place, with Mane second.
Elsewhere, Mane picked up the first ever Socrates Award for players who help tackle social issues. Barcelona starlet Gavi won the 2022 Kopa Trophy, the prize given to the world's best U21 player.
Alexia Putellas, star of Spain and Barca, won her second successive Ballon d'Or. Robert Lewandowski was named striker of the year once again, scooping the Gerd Muller Award. Thibaut Courtois claimed the Yashin Trophy.
