A newborn baby boy died in his mum's arms as she held him for the first time.
Alison Taylor, from Bootle, said she had no problems throughout her pregnancy with her son Isaac, so when she went into labour at full-term she didn't have any concerns. Alison was taken to Liverpool Women's Hospital by her husband Paul, 45, and gave birth in less than an hour.
It was only after giving birth that doctors discovered Isaac was seriously ill, and Alison and Paul were told the devastating news he wouldn't survive. Alison, who is also a mum to Archie, aged 8, has shared her story as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week.
