B&Q is closing eight of its mini-markets based in Asda stores within weeks. The closures will start from March 11 with around 57 staff affected by the move.
As reported by the Mirror, the staff impacted will be offered alternative roles in nearby stores. It said no jobs will be lost as a result.
The DIY chain's strategy director Chris Bargate said it will now focus on their smaller high street stores, B&Q locals, with a plan to expand further.
