Us Brits love a bargain. It adds an extra element of success to any shopping trip and, let's face it, it's always a nice surprise when you get something to the till to discover it's lower in price than you were expecting.
How many times have you gone into a shop and seen something you liked, but then checked the price and wondered if you could really afford it, or if it was worth it? Well, B&M shoppers have a secret tool that can help you 'beat the bargains' and nab yourself some money off before even the staff are aware.
The B&M scanner, which can be found on the B&M app, can be used in store to check whether a product you're keen to buy is about to go on sale. If it is, you'll find that the sale price will already be on the system - even before the price tags in store have been updated - and that means when you take that product to the till, you'll be getting it at the discounted price, too.

So, imagine you've walked into B&M and seen a piece of home decor priced at £20 (according to the price tag/ticket on the shelf) and you're wondering if you can afford it, but you love it and can definitely see it in your home. You take out your B&M app, use the scanner and it tells you that this product has actually been reduced to a tenner - you take it to the till and, lo and behold, it is in fact £10. No questions asked.
And you would have had no idea if it wasn't for the scanner. This is how many shoppers are feeling and how many more are hunting down bargains before anyone else.
In January, the Daily Record reported that one B&M shopper managed to bag herself a £70 haul for just £3 using the scanner. And, more recently, if you head to TikTok you'll find shoppers boasting about their scanner finds, with £40 rugs being bought for just 10p and TikTok user @hollylouise.22 even found that the £120 TV cabinet she had been after had, in fact, been reduced from £120 to just £20, all thanks to that handy scanner.
So how can you download the B&M scanner?
To use the B&M scanner, you simply download the free B&M Stores app in the App Store or from Google Play. Once in the app, click the 'scan' button at the bottom.
Your camera will then be used to scan the barcodes of products - simply hold your phone up to the code and the app will automatically display the items price. Bargain hunting (and shopping in B&M in general) will never be the same.
