Azaylia Cain 's mum Safiyya Vorajee admitted she has been feeling 'vulnerable' and decided to take a last-minute trip out of the UK to clear her mind.
Safiyya - who tragically lost her baby daughter Azaylia at eight months old in April last year to a rare form of leukaemia - told her Instagram followers that she and her brother decided to go on a short holiday.
The book she has been writing brought back a lot of difficult memories for her so Safiyya thought it would be best to leave her house for a couple of days.
"I have been in such a dark horrible place and felt like I was drowning and couldn't cope very well," the 34-year-old wrote on her Instagram Stories after arriving in Tenerife.
"I needed to get away I feel vulnerable atm and need to reset to try and go again! Be kind, you don't always know what someone is dealing with sometimes we only see what people want to show us."
She added: "Sending love to everyone who is struggling and trying to find new coping methods. Keep going we got this."
During her flight, Safiyya filmed a clip explaining how she was feeling and why she decided to book a flight.
"I've got to work on my book and get it all edited and it's really difficult when I sit at home and read through all my book and read it all back and brings all of that build-up and it's just really difficult to do while I'm just sitting at home," she explained.
She went on to tell fans that she needed a couple of days to get everything sorted before the launch date in April.
"About to go up to the sky to my little baby," she said. "And she gave me such a beautiful orange sky this morning and it feels so blessed to be able to be so up in the sky with her."
As the plane was taking off, Safiyya admitted she was feeling anxious about flying but was excited to be 'up in the sky with her baby girl'.
"Mummy's come up, baby." the mum added. "Oh my god, the butterflies that I've got in my stomach."
Safiyya and her partner Ashley Cain recently revealed they're hopeful that they might reach a 'certain point' when they can have another baby.
The Ex on the Beach star, 31, and Safiyya have been open about their grieving process since the death of Azaylia.

Parents who have experienced baby loss or bereavement often call their next child a "rainbow" baby - with the rainbow seen as a symbol of hope after loss.
Since the tragedy, the couple have remained united in their grief and have poured their hearts and minds into helping others with a charity foundation in their daughter's memory.
And looking to the future, the couple have opened up to share that they had always hoped for a sibling for Azaylia and would consider another baby if they get to a stage where it feels right.
Safiyya told Mail Online: "I always wanted a brother or a sister for Azaylia.
"We always wanted Azaylia to have brothers and sisters. I never say never and that would be a beautiful thing for Azaylia to have siblings when the time is right, and things feel natural and organic to do that.
''We can always revisit that at a certain stage when we feel ready to do that.''
