Ayrshire police have launched a manhunt after a 60-year-old was robbed during an assault at a bank machine.
Cops are appealing for information following after the incident in Dalry on Monday, November, 21.
The robbery happened around 12.25pm at a cash machine near The Cross when the man was approached by another male who assaulted him and stole a three-figure sum of money.
Members of the public intervened and the money was recovered but the suspect left the scene.
The suspect is described as being between 30 and 40 years of age and was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black hooded top.
Detective Constable Sandy McBreen said: “The victim did not require hospital treatment but was left understandably shaken by this incident.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who went to the aid of the victim to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and may have dash-cam footage or any other information which could assist to get in touch.”
