An Ayrshire Indian restaurant has scooped a top award less than a year after opening.
3idiots in Troon have scooped a ‘Special Recognition’ prize at the Curry Awards 2023.
The business, run by co-owners Guri Gurchet Singh and Parveen Sharma, opened the second eatery of their curry empire in September last year, moving into the town’s Portland Street.
Their original Ayr diner was crowned winners of Outstanding Restaurant of the Year at last year's award ceremony.
Now they have added another top accolade after judges were left impressed once again by the emerging curry kings of Ayrshire.
Boss Guri has told of his delight to be back amongst the winners for the second year running.
He told Ayrshire Live: “To get another award is a really good feeling we are absolutely delighted.
“We’ve loved opening up in Troon, we always knew it would be a recipe for success because we used to have customers asking if we delivered there.
“We also see a lot of customers travel through from North Ayrshire to come to our Troon restaurant.
“It’s a really good achievement for us, we are just so proud.
“I want to thank all the customers who support us and voted for us in the wards.
“I also want to thank our incredible team of staff for all their hard work and dedication. They all deserve this."
The award night held in Glasgow as a double celebration with chef Parveen earning a ‘Highly Recommended’ accolade in the best chef category.
