Coming from the automotive world, I'm familiar with the automotive tuner known as Mansory. They are, as some might say, controversial, as the builders tend to go to extremes in terms of automotive design, fabrication, materials, and styling.
There's no mistaking a Mansory creation for anything else but a Mansory creation.
But people keep buying them, and they keep getting Mansory to build their off-the-wall ideas, and so Mansory continues to exist. Lately, the brand's been delving into the powersports industry, which is why we're talking about it today.
After debuting its first-ever PWC earlier this year, it's following up its quote-unquote "success" with something that again goes across water. Only, instead of it being in its liquid state, Mansory chose to craft a snowmobile. Specifically, it went with a Ski-Doo machine to enhance in typical Mansory fashion. It's quite the looker, at least if you're into that sort of thing.
Called the Black Lizard—which, OK—the Mansory-built machine is based off what appears to be a Ski-Doo backcountry sled, specifically a Summit model. I say appears to be because Mansory didn't release too many details about the Black Lizard.
Here's all Mansory said about the machine: "The limited winter edition of the Black Lizard impresses with 205 powerful HP, countless body parts made of carbon and a special, water-resistant leather seat cover. Exclusive accents in the special colour lime green, complement the elegant appearance of the Black Lizard."
So what we can glean from that is that the Black Lizard has more horsepower than stock, has been drenched in carbon fiber (would it even be a Mansory without it?), and it sports a new seat cover. It also gets Mansory's penchant for wild ass paint schemes with black and lime green. [It's giving slight Starship Troopers arachnid vibes, to my eye.jj]
As for price, no clue. Mansory only adds, "More to come..." at the end of the company's announcement. Hopefully, we'll get more soon about this wild creation, but from the looks of it, it's certainly one of the craziest things Mansory has done in recent memory. And that's saying something if you know what Mansory's history and lineup looks like.
But what do you all think? Is a Mansory-tuned snowmobile something you'd cop? Let us know in the comments below.
