Austria’s JJ wins Eurovision as Israel comes second

Austria’s JJ has won the Eurovision Song Contest with the emotional song Wasted Love, while Israeli singer Yuval Raphael was the runner-up.

The singer, real name Johannes Pietsch, said “love is the strongest force in the world, let’s spread more love” after receiving the trophy in Basel, Switzerland, for his boat trip themed performance of the song about someone he cared about feeling overwhelmed.The UK’s girl group trio Remember Monday finished in 19th place after their performance of What The Hell Just Happened?, despite getting nothing from the public vote.
