Maya Joint is still getting her teenage kicks in a spectacular breakthrough season, continuing her assault on the WTA circuit's Asian swing by crushing former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin in straight sets at the Korea Open.
The 19-year-old Queensland-based youngster, with two titles under her belt already this season, looked to have gone off the boil a little after winning the grass-court title at Eastbourne at the end of June.
But her 6-3 6-1 trouncing of world No.28 Kenin in the last-16 at the prestigious WTA 500 hardcourt tournament in Seoul on Wednesday demonstrated she's back to her best as she breezed into her fifth quarter-final of the 2025 campaign.
