An Audi was completely destroyed after plouging into a service lorry on the M62. Police arrested a woman, aged 30, on suspicion of drink driving after the smash, which miraculously caused no injuries.
The crash was reported on the westbound carriageway of the M62, near Warrington, at around 3am on Thursday (February 9). Traffic cops later shared a picture of the wreckage on social media.
A 30-year-old woman from Knowsley was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving, Cheshire Constabulary later confirmed. She was also taken to hospital as a precaution.

A Cheshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "At 3am police were called to reports that a car, a black Audi A1, had collided with a motorway service lorry on M62 westbound between junctions 9 and 8.
"Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene and the carriageway was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. The driver of the car, a 30-year-old woman from Knowsley, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. She has since been arrested and taken to hospital as a precautionary measure."
One lane was temporarily closed after the crash, with the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service also attending the scene in the early hours of Thursday.
In the post, North West Motorway Police said: "This is the result of a drink driver, hitting a crash cushion on the M62 between j9 and j8, thankfully no injuries reported but it could have been much worse for all involved."
