The question as to who will be joining the Chelsea board will continue to rumble on following a momentous day at Stamford Bridge. Bruce Buck and Marina Granovskaia have both made the decision to step down after many years of service with Roman Abramovich.
However, the departure of the duo felt like a start of a new era at Stamford Bridge as Todd Boehly and his Clearlake Capital consortium now have big decisions to make after the transfer window which will shape the future of the club.
All focus though for now remains on this current summer transfer period and with talks heating up regarding Romelu Lukaku and Raheem Sterling's futures respectively, it is understood that Boehly himself alongside the likes of Thomas Tuchel will be crucial to all negotiations in the immediate future. In the long-term, however, a new sporting director is expected to be appointed to take these responsibilities away from the part LA Dodgers owner who is expected to take up the role of club Chairman once the full re-structure is complete.
