Fireworks were set off outside Atletico Madrid's hotel in the early hours of Tuesday morning, before their Champions League clash with Arsenal.
Ahead of the second leg of the high-profile semi-final tie, it was a disrupted night for some of the Atletico players and coaching staff.
Fireworks were set off outside the Shoreditch hotel in which they are staying at around 1.30am.
According to Spanish media, Atletico have reported the incident to UEFA and noted how easily those responsible were able to get close to the hotel.
Standard Sport understands that UEFA has no jurisdiction over anything that happens away from the stadium, so it would be a matter for local authorities and police.
Atletico stayed at the Marriott Hotel in Regents Park before their 4-0 defeat by Arsenal in the league phase of the Champions League back in October.
However, this time they have been based in Shoreditch. The squad flew to London on Monday and trained at the Emirates Stadium later in the afternoon.

Asked at his pre-match press conference about that hotel switch, Simeone joked: "The hotel was cheaper. That's why we changed."
Arsenal fans are expected to be in buoyant mood for the second-leg showdown at the Emirates.
The Gunners are coming off their best Premier League display in months after they cruised to a 3-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.
That was followed by rivals Manchester City dropping points in a 3-3 draw with Everton on Monday night, leaving Arsenal in control of the title race.
After a 1-1 draw with Atletico in Madrid last week, victory in the second leg would be enough to send Arsenal into the Champions League final for just the second time in the club's history.
Supporters have planned an event to greet the two Arsenal team coaches when they arrive at the Emirates between 5.45pm and 6.30pm.
A huge tifo will then be unveiled in the East Stand ahead of kick-off to help further build the atmosphere on one of the biggest nights in the club's recent history.
