Aston Villa star Alisha Lehmann offered $100k from adult subscription site

Aston Villa star Alisha Lehmann has been offered a whopping $100,000 (£83.7k) from an adult subscription site in a bid to get the Swiss forward her own account.

The 24-year-old has been plying her trade in the WSL since 2018 after joining West Ham from Young Boys Frauen. She has since represented Everton and Villa in what has turned into a promising footballing career.

She has now been offered the chance to add $100k to her bank account with a bizarre offer from adult subscription site My.Club. Vice President of the site Mike Ford has offered the forward $50k (£41.8k) personally, with a further $50k to be donated to the Swiss Women’s Super League should she create an account and join the site.

An official statement from the website suggested that Lehmann would be able to “post training photos, thirst traps and personally field questions”. The Swiss star is almost certain to reject the offer. Recently Lehmann appealed for fans to focus their attention on her career on the pitch, not her life off it.

As quoted by The Times, she said: "A lot of people only see the social side [of my life, via Instagram ] and not actually how I play football. About this, I’m sometimes disappointed, because I work hard every day.

"I train every day and I want to be the best player I can be. They don’t really know how I play. I’m always saying, ‘Watch a game please’ — and then they’re surprised.”

"The message I want to give to people [is] that you can literally be however you want and still play football. Use make-up or do the things you like, do your nails, do your eyelashes, and still play football. It’s not a side you have to pick.

“It’s really important that no one changes because people tell you to. When I was younger a lot of people told me, ‘Oh, you can’t wear make-up. You can’t wear your lashes when you play’.

"At one point I thought, ‘Why not?’ It’s normal and it doesn’t hurt anyone if I do it. I feel like we should see this as normal. Because I’m someone that likes it a lot. I want to look really feminine. It’s my passion.”

Lehmann has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season for Villa, scoring one goal and notching two assists. Her Villa side currently sit fifth in the WSL standings and will be aiming to secure another victory this weekend as they take on Everton.

Aside from her WSL career, Lehmann has also put together a successful career on the international stage. She has 36 caps for the Switzerland national side since her debut in 2017, scoring seven goals.

She however did not play at the 2022 European Championships won by England after confirming that she did not feel “mentally ready” to take part in the tournament.
