After an extraordinarily long period of bouncing around various rumor mills, we finally have some concrete information about the future of Assassin’s Creed.
On Thursday, Ubisoft officially announced Assassin’s Creed Mirage. A full reveal is coming next week during the Ubisoft Forward showcase, which will happen on Sept. 10, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. PDT // 3:00 P.M. EDT // 7:00 P.M. GMT. That’ll be a can’t-miss broadcast for long-time series fans.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is presumably the next mainline title, and many people are speculating it could be set in Baghdad, Iraq. Several weeks ago, reports came out suggesting as much, and the artwork Ubisoft has shown off presumably depicts a middle eastern setting. Check it out for yourself below.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is the next Assassin's Creed game.

The other rumor is that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will likely star Basim Ibn Ishaq, a side character from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. That white-garbed figure in the artwork doesn’t look much like Basim from a glance, but all we can do is speculate for now.
Mere hours before the official announcement, Twitter user ScriptLeaksR6 (who regularly leaks information from Ubisoft titles) shared some alleged promotional artwork from Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

There’ll be numerous titles at Ubisoft Forward beyond Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Upcoming games like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora along with Skull and Bones will likely be in the showcase too.
