Assam: Minors barred from Muharram rally

Muharram Assam SP Sonitpur Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Sonitpur district administration in Assam has banned the participation of minors below 18 years in Muharram processions. It has also prohibited the display of sharp-edged weapons during the processions.

Muharram will be observed on Tuesday (August 9).
