Aspiring runway drag model has the 'key to Liverpool' in back pocket

A Liverpool drag queen is hoping to swap the stage of the Pride Quarter’s bars for a catwalk.

Nathan Banks, known to the city’s LGBTQ+ community as drag queen Dys Grace, hopes to follow in the footsteps of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars such as Tayce and Bimini Bon Boulash, who have both featured in London Fashion Week.

The 21-year-old, who lives and works in the city centre, believes a catwalk would be the perfect spot for him to show off his alter ego’s make-up looks and attention-grabbing outfits. Having been barraged with homophobic insults whilst walking to and from performances around the city, Nathan is ready for his drag persona to be applauded and appreciated as opposed to “laughed at”.
