Asmongold Twitch suspension: Tectone backs streamer’s ‘shoot whoever’ border comments after explosive backlash

Popular streamer John “Tectone” has publicly defended his former OTK teammate Zack “Asmongold” following a massive online controversy regarding illegal immigration and border control. The backlash started after Asmongold made extreme statements about migrants during an August 3 livestream while reacting to a YouTube video. Shortly after the incident, Twitch temporarily banned Asmongold’s secondary channel, Zackrawrr, on August 7 for violating platform rules. While Twitch did not officially state the exact reason for the suspension, Tectone took to his own livestream on Rumble to support Asmongold, arguing that his words had been misunderstood.
