Ashton Lane Festival Street Party returns - everything you need to know

Ashton Lane's Festival Sunday Party is back in Glasgow. The all-day bash lands in the west end on Sunday, June 26.

The big bash promises live music, kids entertainment, face painting and outdoor bars serving special cocktails as well as a range of food stalls and BBQ areas.

Organises assure Glasgow punters that there will be fun and entertainment for people of all ages. The event is free to enter and runs from midday to 8pm.

A statement from the organisers read: Join us on Sunday, June 26 for an all day festival street party.

"All bars and restaurants on the Lane have teamed up to bring to you a full day of fun including live music, kids entertainment, face painting, outside bars, BBQ's and food stalls and cocktail specials. Plus much more, so grab your family or you pals and join us for a fun-filled day on Ashton Lane."

It comes just days after the first ever Dandelion Festival rocked the West End.

Glasgow Live previously reported that an estimated 44,000 people flocked to Kelvingrove Park over the weekend to enjoy the free outdoor music and arts event. It kicked off on Friday with live music, walkabout theatre, and workshops exploring sustainability and climate action.

One of the main features of the festival was the 'living backdrop' Pavilion of Perpetual Light stage made from 60 growing cubes and harvesting vegetables. The final day on Sunday saw live music from Admiral Fallow and over 8,000 plants given away during a mass free plant giveaway to inspire the public to grow at home.

The festival is part of Dandelion, a creative programme celebrating sustainability through community growing across summer 2022, bringing together music and art with science and technology to inspire people to ‘Sow, Grow and Share’ music, food, ideas and stories.
