Shoppers all across the country have become quite well-acquainted with the soaring cost of food when they are in the supermarket. From Lurpak butter to olive oil, the cost of some household essentials has soared lately.
Shoppers were then dealt another blow after the cost of a box of Birds Eye frozen fish fingers were found to be priced at a whopping £7 for 30 in Sainsbury's. The latest staggering price rise left shoppers floored, with one saying they "fell to their knees" when they seen it.
And that isn't even the most expensive price, as one reporter from The Manchester Evening News has found that a 30 pack of the frozen staple is being sold at £7.50/£7.49 in Asda, Tesco and Morrisons. The Birds Eye brand is even more expensive at Ocado, which is priced at the premium £7.90.
