Waiting for a member of staff to verify you are old enough to buy alcohol could be a thing of the past for shoppers.
Supermarket chain Asda is trialling a new self-ID service that uses special facial recognition cameras to verify your age when purchasing drinks.
The feature will be on self-service tills, and means that customers will no longer need to wait for a member of staff to come over and manually check their ID.
