Derrick White, the newly appointed starting point guard for the Boston Celtics, has been working diligently during the summer to prepare for his role as the heir apparent to veteran floor general Marcus Smart now that Smart is with the Denver Nuggets.
After an impressive defensive season last year, White is set to take a leap in his performance. He aims to maintain consistency and improve his leadership skills as he steps into a more prominent role on the team. The departure of Smart via trade has brought changes, but White is poised to step up and embrace the challenge.
