The Atlanta Falcons had a run of good health to begin the year, but the injuries have begun to pile up midway through the season. Wide receiver Mack Hollins, cornerback Dee Alford and running back Cordarrelle Patterson each exited Sunday’s loss due to injury.
Falcons head coach Arthur Smith provided some injury updates during his Monday press conference. Smith told reporters that Patterson should be good to go this week. However, he wasn’t as confident about Alford or Hollins, per team reporter Terrin Waack.

As for wide receiver Drake London, safety DeMarcco Hellams and fullback Keith Smith, all three players are “trending in the right direction,” according to Smith.
The Falcons head coach also declared Taylor Heinicke as the starting quarterback for Week 10 but said the team would evaluate the situation during the bye in Week 11.
