Police are investigating a house fire which they are treating as "deliberate".
At around 11.50am on Wednesday, June 20, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) and Merseyside Police were called to Delamore Street in Kirkdale to reports of a house fire, which caused significant damage but no injuries. Four fire engines rushed to the scene and found a two-storey mid terrace with both ground and first floor on fire.
When the ECHO attended the scene, firefighters were using an aerial to access the roof and used hammer to remove tiles "to expose and attack the fire in the roof space." Smoke was also seen pouring from the roof and drones were also used to assess the damage.
