Five days of the January transfer window have passed and as of yet, Arsenal are yet to welcome a new face to the Emirates Stadium.
That is not for a lack of trying though with the Gunners reportedly chasing a number of players. Mikel Arteta has already opened up on the business that his side could do throughout the window with a strong message to current sporting director Ed u.
With that being said, take a look at all of the rumours that have been coming out of the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours as the North Londoners attempt to hold onto top spot in the Premier League.
Chelsea make Mudryk decision
Arsenal have seen their hopes of signing Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk hit with a major blow with Premier League rivals Chelsea threatening to hijack a deal. According to The Independent, the Blues are intent on beating any offer put down by the Gunners during the transfer window.
His current club Shakhtar are demanding around £88m for the young wideman, with Arsenal only willing to go up to £70m. It remains to be seen whether the Gunners would be willing to be drawn into a bidding war to sign Mudryk over the next few weeks.
The wideman still has just under four years left to run on his current contract in Ukraine and wants to move to the Emirates rather than Stamford Bridge But the pressure is on the Gunners to seal a deal that Shakhtar are happy with.
Gunners cool Tielemans interest
Whilst Mudryk has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, the same can certainly be said of Leicester star Youri Tielemans. The Belgian midfielder is out of contract this summer, with Arsenal holding a long-standing interest in him.
It was expected that they could attempt to sign him for a cut-price fee in January or bide their time for a few months when he will be available on a free. However, it looks as though Arsenal are looking elsewhere.
As per football.london, they have cooled their interest in the former Monaco man and are at this stage not keen on making a winter move for him.

Torres opts against Arsenal move
One position that needs major investment this January is in attack following the long-term injury sustained by Gabriel Jesus. A potential solution that was suggested was former Manchester City man Ferran Torres.
It appears that a swoop for the Spaniard will not be happening either. As per Sport, the 22-year-old has decided that he would like to remain with Barcelona having expressed his wishes for the New Year.
He only arrived at the Camp Nou last January and has gone on to score 12 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions.
