Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carneval has confirmed that talks over Gianluca Scamacca's future have been held amid interest from Arsenal.
The Italian enjoyed an impressive year in Serie A, scoring 16 times, which has attracted attention from some of the country's heavyweights as well as the Gunners. The north London outfit are in the market for new forwards having seen Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette leave in recent months.
Scamacca is now on their shortlist with Alvaro Morata and Gabriel Jesus also linked with moves to the Emirates. Carneval has revealed that initial enquiries have been made but no club has yet lodged a genuine offer for the forward, who is now getting international recognition.
