Arsenal Women midfielder Jordan Nobbs was forced to withdraw from Sarina Wiegman's latest 25-player squad amid injury concerns upon arriving to St. George's Park.
Nobbs started for the Gunners in their 4-0 Women's Super League victory over bottom-of-the-table Leicester City on Sunday afternoon, helping to extend an unbeaten start to the season and seal a place at the top of the table above Chelsea - who have played one game more - before heading into the final international break of the year.
The Lionesses are set to culminate a history-making year with a double-header against Japan and Norway in Spain, but England boss Sarina Wiegman has reportedly suffered a double injury blow as Nobbs and Manchester City forward Lauren Hemp were both ruled out due to minor injury concerns - a decision taken in consultation with their respective Women's Super League clubs.

Injuries have blighted much of Nobbs' season as the 29-year-old was forced to watch from the stands as her compatriots were crowned European Champions in the summer due to a sprained knee ligament, evoking memories of the midfielder's forced absence from the 2019 World Cup in France due to injury.
The midfielder has not featured for her country since April as England dispatched Northern Ireland 5-0 as part of 2023 World Cup qualifying.
Despite missing the summer, Nobbs has returned to fine form under Jonas Eidevall, becoming a key performer for the squad and recording two goals in her last three appearances.
Everton defender Gabby George has been called up as a replacement, joining Toffees teammate Jess Park who was called up to replace Chelsea's Fran Kirby while recovering from a viral infection.
England play Japan on November 11, kick-off 7pm, followed by a meeting with Norway, on November 15, kick-off 7pm.
