Arsenal fans have urged sporting director Edu to pursue a deal for Ilkay Gundogan after the Manchester City star netted the opener of the FA Cup final against Manchester United.
Gundogan broke the deadlock after just 12 seconds, firing a stunning long-range volley past United goalkeeper David De Gea. The German international has enjoyed a stellar 2022/23 campaign, scoring ten times and providing a further six assists across all competitions.
That kind of form has attracted plenty of interest, with both the Gunners and La Liga champions Barcelona said to be keen on a potential summer move, which would be a free transfer considering the German international's contract with City is set to expire at the end of the month. After the 32-year-old's impressive finish, plenty of Arsenal supporters took to social media urging the north London outfit to try and sign the veteran midfielder.
